Keep the camera at eye level, look straight ahead and use a neutral expression. Include the whole face. Avoid wide-angle close-ups, heavy shadows, glasses covering the outline and beauty filters.
Use a straight-on photo with even lighting, keep your hair away from your outline, and compare your face length with the widths of your temples, cheeks and jaw. Our detector measures visible landmarks locally and shows the closest of six reference shapes.

The detector reports image-based ratios and an approximate two-dimensional jaw angle. It cannot recover true physical dimensions from an uncalibrated photograph, and its upper-forehead landmark is not the true hairline.
Read the runner-up shape and any photo-quality suggestion. If needed, retake a level photo and compare. Save your result to keep a record; a difference between photos does not prove that your underlying face structure changed.
Our matches are transparent geometric estimates, not validated probabilities.
